You are between a medium and a large right now, and the internet is being no help. Here is the straight answer for everything we sell.
The short version
Our tees fit true to size. Our crewnecks and hoodies run roomy on purpose. If you are between sizes on a sweatshirt and want a fitted look, go down. If you want the cozy fit, stay where you are. Tees, stay true to size unless you deliberately want an oversized drape.
How the tees fit (Bella+Canvas 3001)
Most of our tees print on the Bella+Canvas 3001, a 4.2 oz combed ring-spun cotton tee with a retail fit. Retail fit means slimmer through the body than a boxy gym shirt, with side seams that help it hang straight. It fits true to size. If you like extra room, one size up gets you drape without looking borrowed.
How the crewnecks and hoodies fit (Gildan 18000 and 18500)
The fleece is a 50/50 cotton and polyester blend, around 8 oz, and the cut is boxy by design. These run roomy. A medium wears like the sweatshirt you steal from someone slightly larger than you, which is the point of a crewneck if you ask me. Size down for a fitted look. Sleeves are generous either way.
The cassette tee is different (Comfort Colors 1717)
Our Coffee & Existential Dread tee prints on a heavier garment: 6.1 oz garment-dyed cotton with a relaxed, slightly boxy body that washes in soft, like a shirt you have owned for years. True to size, but expect more room than the Bella tee.
The trucker hat
One size, structured foam front, mesh back, adjustable snap. It fits most heads, including, and I say this with respect, large ones.
Will it shrink?
Cotton moves a little with heat. Washed cold and dried low, per the care guide, these hold their size. Hot water and high heat can take a tee down close to half a size, so the care routine protects the fit as much as the print.
